Pastor Reginald was born in Atlanta, GA and moved to Lakeland, FL as a child. He joined New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Lakeland, Fl where his parents Mr. & Mrs. James and Evelyn Honors served as faithful leaders for over 40 years. He is a graduate of Polk County Public Schools (Lake Gibson HS-Diploma), Hillsborough Community College (AA) in Tampa, FL, The University of Houston (BS), and the University of Houston-Victoria (MEd.). Pastor Reginald has worked as an educator in Public Schools for more than 15 years. He has served as a HIstory teacher at Missouri City Middle School in the Fort Bend Independent School District, the History Dept. Chair, and presently as an Assistant Principal.

Pastor Reginald was honored to have been named Missouri City Middle School’s Teacher of the Year in 2000.

Pastor Reginald discovered the unique gifts in Christian service and ministry within him under the dynamic preaching ministry of  the Rev. Jimmy Thompson and Evangelist Bessie Thompson, the pastoral team at New Bethel A.M.E. Church for nearly 20 years. Pastor Reginald accepted the call into ministry while serving as the Steward Board Pro-tem at Evangelist Chapel A.M.E Church in Houston, TX, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. N. Jordan Mkwanazi. He was ordained an Itinerant Elder of the A.M.E. Church in 2001 during the Texas Annual Conference under Bishop McKinley Young.

Pastor Reginald has pastored congregations in Needville, TX (Johnson Chapel A.M.E.) and in Willis, TX (Mt. Pilgrim A.M.E.) prior to his appointment as Co-Pastor at Reedy Chapel. Over the years Pastor Reginald’s passion for helping others has led to the development and/or enhancement of several ministries:

Prayer Cells, Teen Church, Elders’ Care, Blood Brothers, just to name a few. Assisting the Holy Spirit in Winning Souls for the Kingdom of God and Teaching the Word of God are the two main passions that drive him.

Pastor Reginald has been married to Rev. Salatheia Bryant-Honors, a veteran reporter for the Houston Chronicle and an Ordained Itinerant Elder in the A.M.E. Church, since 1990. They have two amazing children: Bryant Jamerson and Kennedy Sa’Nora.
